Sounds familiar? hehehe
I don't know what's with me for the past few days [of taking centrum not enervon]. It seems that my 24hrs is not enough to have all my stuff done.
Like last night, my mind still wanted to work on something but my body wanted to have her minimum of four hours of sleep! [well, i can't blame her. she seems to have a mind of her own! and sends signal to my eyes! hehehe]
They're still on the adjustment period. But my body really needs to cope with my active mind!
just blogging! ciao!
This is my journal. Join me as I journey through my life's ups and downs. It may not always be good but I will try my best to look at the brighter side. God has a perfect plan and thy Will be done. ~ Chec

Meet my new baby...
Let's just call her "Buchic". [My mom used to call me this kase] This is actually just my 3rd official fone for 9 years. I'm so attached to them that i can't afford to replace them with a new one unless there's really a need.

[This actually the fone advertised by Sarah Geronimo! I just found out when i saw her on their site. ndi naman ako super avid fan noh!]
Pansin ko lang lahat ng napili kong fone "Fone ng bayan"!!
Me: Meron ba kayong C510?
Salesman: Ah oo! Mabili nga sa amin yan eh! yan yung kay sarah di ba?
Me: uhmm... yeah!

Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C510

Autofocus and 3.2 megapixels - the C510 Cyber-shot™ makes taking great photos a piece of cake. Just slide the smooth lens cover open and snap away.

Earth Hour 2009
We have just joined the Earth Hour 2009 (8:30pm - 9:30 pm) :D
This is turning your lights out for just one hour.
Earth Hour is an international event organised by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), and held on the last Saturday of March each year, which asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.(source)
This event is a global warming awareness initiative. By turning our lights out for just one hour we can help in the reduction of carbon emissions which reduces the effects of global warming.
And I'm proud to say we've been joining the Earth hour since 2008.
This is for the next generations. Let's VOTE EARTH!!!

When God is talking...
I was in a taxi this Thursday morning and i saw a poster on the dashboard. The driver was asking for help and donations to sustain the chemotheraphy of his daughter with a cancer. I was moved. I remember the time when we're in his situation, needing money to sustain our daughter's hospital bill.
Back then, we don't know where to get all the money to pay a half a million worth. But when God is taking charge, He takes charge of everything. With all the help from PCSO, from my company, from our friends and family, we were discharge from the hospital.
Now it's payback time, before taking off the cab, i gave something to him. I know this single donation wouldn't be much but with God's help and with all his passengers that are willing to help him, they can make it.
In times like this, I know God is talking to me. There are many times I ignored him. There are times I still have to argue with my conscience if i should help. Or if this will just tolerate bad doings of others to make money out of people emotions. And I really regret that and i feel sorry for myself when I realized that I should have helped.
Sometimes we don't have enough time to think. In just a split seconds, other people's lives depended on us. It's better to have our instinct ready. Ready to be a blessing to others.

Nail Clipping
Have you ever tried cutting your finger nails without the sound?
Ako kasi i already developed that skill! I don't know how you call it. mmm.. nail cutter phobia? hehehe
Kaya problem namin palagi pano sya gugupitan ng kuko. That's really a big No-No pag gising sya kasi hawakan mo pa lang ang kamay nya at daliri alam nya na yun.
Nail clipper!

We Can Make A Difference
Don't spend your precious time asking
'Why isn't the world a better place?'
It will only be time waster.
The question to ask is 'How can I make it better?'
To that there is an answer.
Pravsworld.com
I always hear people complain about the world today... the politics, the economics, crimes, poverty, their job, their families. I cannot blame them if they feel that way. As we all know, we are in the midst of global crisis and global warming. There is no "better" place nowadays.
Where else can we go if not on Earth? This is our home. We must do something.
Yes! We cannot change the world but we can make a difference.
We can start with simple things. Like following traffic rules. Throwing candy wrappers into a trash bin. Turning off the lights when not in use. Saving water.
...by following traffic rules, accidents can be avoided.
...by throwing candy wrappers into a trash bin, we can keep floods from happening.
...by turning off the lights, we can reduce the emission of energy that affects our ozone layer.
...by saving water, we can keep ourselves from not taking a bath or not brushing our teeth and a lot more things. hehehe.
According to savewater!® Alliance "Of all the water in the world, only 3% is fresh. Less than one third of 1% of this fresh water is available for human use. The rest is frozen in glaciers or polar ice caps, or is deep within the earth, beyond our reach." So why waste it?
Let's start with these or other simple things and we can make a difference!
YES WE CAN! (hehehe... sounds familiar ba?!?)
ciao!

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
When someone I know saw me nowadays, I always got a "Uy! nananaba tayo ah!" comment. I cannot always tell them na "oo nga eh... may PCOS kasi ako!" without getting a "ha? ano yun?" feedback.
I started gaining weight last 2006. I thought maybe I was eating a lot than my body could burn. Because of my line of work, I don't have enough exercise (sitting all day in front of a computer). I started to get conscious when I’ve got nothing to wear. (Everything started to shrink and popped! hahaha)
I've already tried everything! (kung alam nyo lang!) Working out in a gym, jogging, diet pills, south beach diet, no rice for a month, no sweets, no chocolates, and no ice creams. What else? Will power? duh! I just got tired of it!
But what's really causing my weight gain?
I remember last 2008; I have no period for four straight months... all I thought it was normal because I've always had an irregular period since then. After that, I was bleeding for more than a month. That's the time I visited an ObGyne. And that's the first time I heard about PCOS.
Most study says that it runs in the family or can be inherited but there is not enough evidence to prove that.
As for me, I was given a birth control to regulate my period. My doctor prescribed Yasmin pills. It also helps in improving my skin texture. My doctor suggested that I should have another baby to help reverse my PCOS.
hmmm... well? let's see...
:D

PCOS or Polycystic ovary syndrome (say "pah-lee-SIS-tik OH-vuh-ree SIN-drohm") is a problem in which a woman’s hormones are out of balance. It can cause problems with your periods and make it difficult to get pregnant. 1
Symptoms include the following:
- Acne.
- Weight gain and trouble losing weight.
- Extra hair on the face and body. Often women get thicker and darker facial hair and more hair on the chest, belly, and back.
- Thinning hair on the scalp.
- Irregular periods. Often women with PCOS have fewer than nine periods a year. Some women have no periods. Others have very heavy bleeding.
- Fertility problems. Many women with PCOS have trouble getting pregnant (infertility).
- Depression.
Most study says that it runs in the family or can be inherited but there is not enough evidence to prove that.
According to Insulite Laboratories , insulin resistance is the root cause of PCOS.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is a hormonal imbalance linked to the way the body processes insulin after it has been produced by the pancreas to regulate blood sugar (glucose). Insulin Resistance, an underlying cause of PCOS, has many factors that contribute to its presence in the body. In essence, our environment and lifestyles have evolved too rapidly for our bodies to keep pace. We are still genetically "wired" to thrive on the entrenched habits of our ancestors, who consumed different, nutrient-rich foods and a diet low in carbohydrates and who sustained greater levels of movement and exercise. Some people may also have a genetic predisposition to Insulin Resistance, while others develop the condition through high stress and unhealthy lifestyles.2
How is it treated?
Regular exercise, healthy foods, and weight control are key treatments for PCOS. Medicines to balance hormones may also be used. Getting treatment can reduce unpleasant symptoms and help prevent long-term health problems. .3
As for me, I was given a birth control to regulate my period. My doctor prescribed Yasmin pills. It also helps in improving my skin texture. My doctor suggested that I should have another baby to help reverse my PCOS.

Mommy's Premonition
Every expecting mothers have always had premonitions about the baby inside them. They saw her/him in their dreams. They interact with them, play with them and care for them as if they were already out of their tummies.
(I remember my premonition about my baby, Yvonne. It's quite alarming that i still am bursting into tears when i woke up. That dream tells me that something is wrong. But when we talk to my doctor she said everything is fine, her heartbeat is okei, we're on the right track, and wait for the labor week. All along we thought she's fine because she's so active. It's true that she really wanted to come out already. Those instinct should not be taken for granted. Well, that's another story.)
That's why you can't question the bonding of a mother to her child. Because they're one for nine months... sharing feelings, sharing foods, sharing emotions, sharing happy moments, playing together inside the tummy. (You really can't explain that feeling, when her feet shows in your tummy. So cool!)
Being a mother is really a gift. A gift from God. A wonderful moment to treasure forever.
Advance Happy Mother's day to all Mommies! hehehe

Anniversary Preparation Revealed...
October 19, 2002 is a special date for us. It is said that wedding dates should be celebrated as this is a blessed day... for God has bounded you as one. But I guess we have taken that for granted.
It's our 6th Anniversary. So to make it more special this time, I have prepared a week-long surprise for my husband Mannix. This maybe awkward to some but I was excited with the idea. Well, I don't see anything wrong about girls giving flowers to guys. Especially if you really love the person. And I don't see anything wrong about guys receiving flowers from girls. I think that's really sweet. ehehehe.
Here it goes...
6 days before.... Monday, October 13, 2008
The idea just popped out of my mind early Monday morning when i got into the office. A week of surprises would really be exciting and sweet. hehehe. I have to send something for Monday to really make it a 7-day surprise.
I searched from Mr. Google "send flowers online Philippines". Then I run into the Manila Blossoms site where i found a bouquet of blue roses. They can send a same day delivery if you placed your order before 9 am. Thanks God its only 8:30 am. (This is the first time i did this so i was in a hurry.) I selected my order, filled out the order form and message, filled out my credit card info, and submitted it. They have a delivery charge and the minimum order amount (see details). Its okei! as long as they can send it within the day! I got a confirmation email at 8:52am. wew! That was fast! I texted them to confirm if they could send it that day ... (so i would know if i have to plan something else.) But I got no reply. It's nice to know that they also have this live customer support where you can chat with them through YM, MSN and AOL. So I sent them a message regarding my concern. They said they still have to verify if its not a fraud card and they'll let me know within the day. I followed up every 2 hours i guessed. hehehe. Around 2pm they confirmed they can deliver it that day. And around 3pm my package was already on its way. I got a message from Mannix and he was really surprised :D Good Job!
I was satisfied with the service, the flowers (when I saw it later that day) but not with the card. It was just printed in a piece of paper and slipped inside the card. Hope they can make it more personalized next time.
5 days before... Tuesday, October 14, 2008
Along with my search last Monday, I also found this lovely site of Island Rose. They have a free shipping, no minimum order amount and a very affordable gift item and flowers. They also have a set of three roses. For this day, I have ordered a Pure Belgian chocolates. Mannix got the package at around 1pm.
When I saw the package later that day, i was really gratified. The package was very elegant. The card was personalized. And the chocolates tasted really good. (We shared it with Yvonne that night and she loves it.) hehehe
4 days before... Wednesday, October 15, 2008
Again from Island Rose, I ordered three red long stemmed roses which has traditionally been a symbol of eternal love and devotion. It is really very affordable! They also got a very nice packaging for the flowers with a personalized card. The flowers were really lovely and fresh. Mannix got the package at around 2pm.
3 days before... Thursday, October 16, 2008
For this day, i wanted something new. Maybe a balloon will do. I'm really looking for this item but most of the online store don't have this. They said it's only available on February. Well, I guess they should make it available all year round because anyone would love to give it to their love ones anytime of the year. Ok, i have no choice but to look for alternatives. Magz gave me the PhilFlower.com site, which i have missed. I checked on their items and I spotted a "Happy Anniversary" balloon which is perfect for the occasion. This item with this item and this item would really send the message. They also has a card where you can put your message. Hoping its a good one. And it is a good one. :D
By the way, they also have a shipping fee for Metro Manila and a flat rate for provincial delivery (see details). This is quite pricey but i really wanted to give these items so i go for it.
2 days before... Friday, October 17, 2008
Again from Island Rose. Because their items were really very affordable, I won't regret purchasing gift items from them. I just hope they will come up with more items to choose from in the coming days. For this day, I'd love to give the three white roses which are meant to reaffirm one's commitment, fidelity and loyalty. Sad to say it's already sold out. So I ordered the three red long stemmed roses instead. Mannix received it around 4pm.
1 day before... Saturday, October 18, 2008
I bought this Big Anniversary Card from Powerbooks where I listed a "101 Reasons Why I Love You". I hand it over to him since we usually stayed at home during weekends.
Our Anniversary... Sunday, October 19, 2008
We went to Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite's mass at megamall and ask for God's blessings and went home to celebrate our Special day with our family. We had few handa, including lumpiang sariwa, leche flan and black forest from Goldilocks, menudo, chopsuey and spaghetti cooked by Ate Rolly.
As this celebration ends, I pray for God's guidance and protection. May we not forget our vows. May we always be reminded that we are bounded as one to fulfill a mission in this life span. May we always have a fruitful life together. May we always be supportive of each other. May we always see each other as God's precious gift.
Happy Anniversary, Babes!

Our 6th Anniversary
Wedding Anniversary deserves to be celebrated in a memorable way. It is an annual renewal of our commitment to love one another and be faithful to one another. As we celebrate our 6th anniversary, let us be reminded of these vows.
We've been through a lot but there's more to come. My heart was torn a bit but my love for you patch it up. I know I'm not the perfect wife you have wished for. I know I'm not the perfect woman you have hoped for. With your love and God's guidance, It s my prayer and desire to fulfill my purpose as God wanted me to. I am confident that He has chosen you to be my husband. And I pledge to you my life as an obedient, faithful, trustworthy and loving wife.
"To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
Here's how I prepared for our 6th Wedding Anniversary...read more

1 day before...
We don't need any reason to love someone but it is worth remembering why we have fallen in love with the one we love most.

I don't regret the things I have done or the things I have chosen not to do because what ever I've done, I must have done something right because I ended up with you.

I love so much and my heart is sure. As time goes on I love you more. Your happy smile, Your loving face, You sweet embrace. No one will ever take your place.
Loving you has been the best thing to ever happen to me!

Red rose has traditionally been a symbol of eternal love and devotion.
