DOTC relaunches Oplan Isnabero

Every Christmas season, commuting is one of the biggest headache we had, especially few years back when we haven't gotten Lexah yet.

In malls, you have to fall in line for hours to get a cab, most of the time. And when you tried to call a cab along the street, you need to negotiate with the driver just to get home. Sometimes, they haggle for an additional Php50 or ask you for 3x your regular fare.

Most cab driver don't wanna get stuck in traffic [who would want to, anyway?] that's why they're very choosy with their passenger... they wanted a short distance trip or just around the area. If you're from the far side of Metro Manila  [including Taguig] they will refuse to take you there with lots of alibis.

It really pisses me off!!!

Sometimes, I get in the cab first before telling the driver of my where-to. So they will have no choice but to take me there. But there are still lots of drivers who will kick [exag!] you out of their cab. Haist! This is the life of a commuter who wanted to go home and rest after a long day of super toxic workload or shopping spree.

I'm glad that the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) is doing something about this. There's a campaign, Oplan Isnabero, implemented a long time ago. I just don't know if abusive drivers have been penalized already. Anyway, we can help. As far as I know, they needed 3 complains to reprimand the driver.

Here's DOTC hotline number: 7890
We may also send complain through text: 0917-247-0385 / 0919-222-74-62.
Just text the plate number and complainant's name.

Now, agencies LTO or LTFRB will just call the complainant's number to verify the complain. Unlike previous year, complainant needs to show up to these agency to validate the complain. Well, at least there's an improvement.

Oh by the way, Merry Christmas!!! ^_^

Pinoy Chicken Barbecue Recipe

Early this afternoon, I said I wanted a chicken barbeque and baked talong for dinner tonight. I could die in excitement just thinking about it! hahaha ^_^ So here's the best Chicken Marinade recipe I found from Overseas Pinoy Cooking.

Ingredients:

2 kilo chicken leg
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup kalamansi or lemon extract
1 cup Sprite or 7-UP
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup tomato ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 head garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. salt
large bamboo skewers
cooking oil

Cooking procedure:

Wash chicken legs and drain. Slit open chicken leg along the length to expose the bones. In a big container with lid combine marinade except oil. Now put in chicken, allow marinade to fully coat the chicken, Arrange side by side chicken cover with the lid and marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator. When ready to grill skew each chicken legs in bamboo skewers, Prepare basting sauce by adding cooking oil to left over marinade. Grill at medium to high heat for 5-8 minutes on each side, baste in between. Do not overcook, it should be moist inside, just cooked and slightly burnt outside. Serve with your favourite dipping sauce.

Baked talong:
Cut eggplant into four parts and cut to half. Fry and set aside. Saute chopped garlic, onion and tomatoes. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Cook until tomatoes are well done. Put it as toppings to eggplant and baked for few minutes.

Sorry I forgot to take a photo so I just grab one from the site. There's always a next time. ^_^

You Are Blessed!

On this day, God wants you to know

"... that you are blessed. You may think you have challenges, but you have so many blessings. Sometimes it takes only a moment of conscious effort to recognize those blessings. Once you focus on the gifts instead of the problems, your whole perspective will change and you will see blessings everywhere."

"...that you've been talking to God too much, and not listening enough. Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when you become quiet and listen to God. You've learned how to talk and ask well. Time to learn how to listen and hear, because God has been answering you."

"Trials are blessings from God in another form, be grateful for each trial that comes your way, for God is teaching you to keep your faith on Him...."

"Learning to wait on God is one of the most valuable lessons you can learn. Have faith; everything is beautiful in His way!"
